In the dynamic landscape of India’s business and economic sphere, the role of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) is of paramount significance. These enterprises, characterized by their entrepreneurial spirit, innovation, and employment generation, are the bedrock of our nation’s economy. However, they face significant challenges, among which one of the most pressing is the cost of litigation.
It is against this backdrop that the Federation of Indian Micro and Small & Medium Enterprises (FISME) and the ‘Friends of MSMEs in Parliament,’ a dedicated forum of Members of Parliament, in collaboration with WeVaad, an Online Dispute Resolution institution, as their Knowledge Partner, organized a seminar on August 10, 2023. The objective of this event was: to address the issues relating to litigation and commercial dispute resolution process for MSMEs.
The seminar served as a unique platform that brought together luminaries in the legal profession, distinguished experts in the field, and the very stakeholders who are integral to this discourse. The distinguished gathering convened to deliberate on innovative strategies that should be employed to reduce the cost of litigation for MSMEs.
